What is Collisor?

We are a comparative website for all things college & training. We provide an ecosystem of courses from higher education, vocational education & training (VET) & Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). We want to make it easier for students from around the world to search, compare, review and select the course that is suited for their wants & needs.

What are the levels of study?

With over 250,000 courses worldwide, Collisor makes it easy for students to find, review and compare courses for all types of study. The search function breaks these down into four types of study: undergraduate, postgraduate, micro-credential and vocational.

Undergraduate courses include tertiary education degrees usually offered at an institution of higher education, such as a college or university. Typically, this education pathway requires completion of a Secondary School Certificate of Education or a diploma or advanced diploma from a Vocational Education and Training (VET) provider. Collisor allows you to compare courses between universities, review their course guides and choose the best course for you.

Postgraduate courses are available for students who have already completed undergraduate studies. Provided by both tertiary education institutions and VET providers, there are a variety of postgraduate study options available for all areas of study. These can include graduate certificates, graduate diplomas, masters degrees or professional doctorates and help you gain further, specialised knowledge in an area of study. No matter what you want to further your studies in, Collisor is here to help with your postgraduate degree search.

Micro-credentials are short courses which produce industry-relevant qualifications becoming more and more relevant in the workforce. These courses can involve completing activities, assessments and projects and allow students to receive a digital badge or certificate which can be verified by employers. Examples of micro-credentials include Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) or short courses which reflect knowledge of a specific program, training or skill. Without the strict requirements of undergraduate or postgraduate programs, these courses are short-term and flexible, and actively encourage proactive upskilling. Offered by a range of institutions, micro-credentials help candidates stand out in the recruitment process and enhance employability potential.

Vocational courses provide qualifications aim to provide practical, work-oriented skill-based training which leads to specific careers. These courses include certificates and diplomas skills and are primarily offered by Registered Training Organisations (RTOs). These can include TAFE institutes and private colleges as well as some universities.
